‽istis reclaims ‘levelling up’ (weekending February
15th 2020)
‽ perhaps I can only be considered rich, if you
are poor; well-educated if you are not; privileged if you are deprived; a
winner if you are a loser; power-full if you are power-less… and am I really prepared to no longer be rich,
well-educated, privileged, a winner and powerful?
‽ possibly there is an inherent limit to any elevatory
policies driven by those whose mandate has come through a supremely institutionalised
‘zero-sum-gain’ process (“and I hereby declare that the said… is duly elected…”)
‽
maybe ‘level up’ is a canny politicians’
phrase: not necessarily a commitment to actually get there, to define where 'there' is, to actually achieve
‘equalibrium’ (sic) – though perhaps, possibly, maybe those looking down might
be just a little less inclined to do so.
